Project Synopsis

The Living Central Virginia website was a product of the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development (“CVPED”). It was created to promote the job opportunities and the many benefits of the Central Virginia region to professionals considering a move to the area.

CVPED tapped Storyware to design and build the new site on top of WordPress.

Knowing that you are going to work with great content gives you an automatic advantage when creating a new website.

Given the beauty of the area and its high rankings for one of the best places to live in the United States, it wasn’t too difficult to use that content to make a strong case for living in Central Virginia.

It was a bit more challenging to present the professional opportunities across the region in a cohesive way. CVPED did not want to manage their own job opportunity database and they didn’t want to bounce people off their site to another job search site. Therefore, we integrated Chmura’s JobsEQ API to display a real-time job search experience within the website, thus providing a seemless user journey from start to finish.
