Texas Cultural Trust

Launching a collaborative website for a statewide arts nonprofit.

Project Synopsis

Texas Cultural Trust is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is, “to be the leading voice for the arts in education, advocacy, and economic impact in Texas”. With over two decades of experience showcasing and supporting the arts in Texas, they sought a rebrand and a new website to go with it.

Storyware served as Pentagram’s web development partner for the project. The Pentagram team in Austin rebranded TxCT while we collaborated with both teams to build the new website.

Team

Everything’s bigger in Texas. That’s communicated loud and clear when you land on the TxCT website. Pentagram’s vision to animate the new logo to communicate the diversity of art disciplines in Texas creates a bold first impression, which we were thrilled to implement.

After understanding all six of the programs run by the Texas Cultural Trust during the site information architecture phase, we were presented with a real challenge to display the content in an organized, intuitive, and user-friendly fashion.

We began by taking the lead on the wireframes to define layout, which Pentagram transformed into the final web designs. Along the way, both Pentagram and Storyware were constantly collaborating and sharing ideas and feedback on each other’s efforts and output.

Two heads are better than one.

Thanks to our great working relationship with Pentagram that began in 2015, clients like Texas Cultural Trust get to take advantage of Pentagram’s creativity and design experience coupled with our strengths in UX to produce a clear, engaging, and beautiful website.
