Project Synopsis

Just over 100 years after it opened, the New Mexico Museum of Art embarked on a rebrand project with the Pentagram Design team out of Austin to coincide with the opening of a sister museum, the Vladem Contemporary.

Storyware served as Pentagram’s web development partner for the project. We set out with Pentagram to create a welcoming site that sparked curiosity and excitement.

Presenting a museum’s exhibitions on the web is always a challenging endeavor. The content should never be overwhelmed by the design elements. The use of a unique hover experience across the entire site, which integrated NMMoA’s brand colors, served as a great accent to the Exhibitions content.

 

In the back-end, we built out an Exhibitions custom post type in WordPress to give NMMoA staff a simple way to manage and organize exhibitions.
