Storyware Intern Interview Ansley

Meet Ansley!

We’re so excited to introduce Ansley, our veteran intern and UVA Fourth Year who joined the team last fall and will be with us for another semester! Anyone who has met Ansley via Storyware or Charlottesville Ale Trail events knows what a great attitude she brings to every project. Get to know her better via our Q&A below!

What inspires your work? A well organized Excel spreadsheet

What album could you listen to on repeat? Heard it in a Past Life by Maggie Rogers

Maggie Rogers' Album Ansley Blog Post
One of my favorite albums of all time, best listened to with windows down on the highway.

Time travel is a thing. What year do you visit? The 90s for sure. Even though I technically was born in ’98, I would love to get to live in the era where *NSYNC was still together and carrying a disposable camera at all times was normal

What are you excited about for this internship? Getting to work in a creative space and utilize skills that I don’t usually get the opportunity to work on.

Best part about being a UVA student? Getting to walk through the beautiful scenery on grounds every day. Oh and basketball.

If you had 5 minutes to teach someone something new, what would you teach? How to make a world class smoothie bowl

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Be kind, always.

If you had an all-expenses paid vacation to go anywhere, where would it be? Australia

Who do you admire and why? My GiGi. She has the innate ability to make anyone feel comforted and welcome immediately, and always has something kind to say about someone.

Favorite spot in Cville? Definitely cheesy but the Lawn

The Lawn Ansley Storyware Intern Interview
The Lawn is the best place to do homework or have a Bodos picnic on a warm day.

Most-craved dish? My mom’s homemade chocolate chip pound cake – it’s the one thing I insist she make for me every time I come home!

Something you’d love to learn more about? Painting – despite working at a pottery studio for 3 years the skill of painting still alludes me

Current favorite artist or creative? One of my best friends from home, Micah. Whether she’s watercoloring facades of houses or doodling cartoons of our friends, I always love to see what she’s working on.
